Meet Tom Bean’s Black Pearl

Tom Bean's Volunteer Fire Department has one of only a few pivotal tanker trucks in the area. “Black Pearl” is a T330 which holds up to 3000 gallons of water. Black Pearl carries water to areas not serviced by hydrants. As you can imagine, in rural communities where many homes and ranches sit on huge acreage, a burning house or barn relies on this truck strictly to give the homeowner or business a fighting chance.  

As with any machine that carries a heavy load, the engine needs a rebuild. Tom Beanery Coffee wants to support this initiative. The Tom Bean Feed store and Tom Beanery Coffee sit in the shadow of our Tom Bean Volunteer Department, and when that tanker truck leaves, we know it's making a difference in keeping our community safe. We aim to raise over $1000 towards the engine rebuild - that's only 1000 lbs of coffee! I don't know about you, but our team does 5-8lbs a week. We got this!
